Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, it’s time to wholly embrace
the next holiday. Whether you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah—or favor
the Grinch’s ways—fashion’s childlike love of Christmas is particularly
charming.
In London this weekend, Claridge’s revealed their Lanvin designed
Christmas tree complete with oversized silk dolls in Lanvin costumes.
The characters, including Mr. and Mrs. Lanvin as well as the former’s
mistress and the Claridge’s doorman, are guarding an ornament-packed
tree topped with a figure of Alber Elbaz himself, watching over his
whimsical creation. Meanwhile, in Paris, Audrey Tatou outfitted herself
in Chanel to turn on the lights of the Champs-Elysées. On Wednesday,
New York gets its turn with the lighting of the Rockefeller Center tree.
